Underground Fibre Optics

ADK is a professional underground fibre optic construction contractor that has been helping expand the fibre networks for leading data providers since 2010.  ADK will take the role as either the principal contractor or subcontractor and provide an end to end live fibre service or construct the network leaving fibre at target locations for the clients preferred technical team to splice and terminate.  Aussie Drill Kings are capable of constructing small builds taking a fibre from a pit in close proximity to a target business or large projects like the 35km Buchanan Point build completed for Optus that connected 6 new mobile data towers across the northern beaches of Cairns.

ADK capabilities include:

  • Co-ordination of land access notifications with councils, department of main roads and building asset owners
  • Development of quality, environment and safety management plans
  • Co-ordination of dial before you dig plans and other underground service plans not issued through DB4UD
  • Application and collection of council and road controlling authorities and other stakeholders permits to work
  • Public notification of intentions to work
  • Implementation of traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes
  • Underground cable locating
  • Physical service locations by hydrovac excavations
  • Installation of ducting by trenching and trenchless technologies
  • Installation of pits and manholes
  • Concrete & bitumen removal and reinstatement
  • Fibre hauling through underground ducts and building internals
